Women in Technology Uganda
The Women in Technology program in Uganda helps girls and women become proficient in digital technology. The intent is to increase the economic viability of the county as a whole and raise the ability of women in Uganda to create an impact and prepare them for the country's plan to attract new global business. It was important for WiTU to demonstrate its potential to impact the Ugandan economy by preparing young children with early learning and by preparing women with training and employment opportunities in software development, digital design, and data processing.
In this report, I wanted to illustrate not only the community impact of the program but also how the individual is positively impacted by education and training.
This organization provides educational and moral support to incarcerated young adults in Central American counties, Guatemala, El Salvador, and Honduras. Important to the success of the Orphan Helpers program is the recognition that its participants are progressing in the program, and achieving a high school diploma. By this metric, the organization is able to raise money to continue its mission in these countries and assist its program participants in being released from prison and training them in careers.
